Injury Types

Injury Types

There are many different types of injuries that can occur, some include:

Silicosis Compensation Claims: Silicosis is a rare lung condition caused by excessive exposure to certain kinds of dust, specifically the crystalline form of silicone dioxide, often found in the dust of rocks, clay and sand.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Claims: Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is a painful injury that affects the wrist and hand, causing weakness, numbness and a burning or tingling sensation in the hand and fingers.

Occupational Asthma Claims: Over five million people in the UK have been diagnosed with asthma, and the number of sufferers is on the rise. Asthma has a number of causes, and if you've developed it as a result of conditions at work, our solicitors could help you make an occupational asthma claim.

Vibration White Finger Claims: Vibration white finger (VWF), otherwise known as hand-arm vibration syndrome (HAVS), is a common industrial injury caused by regular extended use of vibrating tools. If you've developed this condition because of work, our solicitors could help you make a HAVS compensation claim.

Repetitive Strain Injury Claims: Your employer has a legal requirement to protect you from injury while at work, but sometimes proper safeguards aren’t taken and injuries can develop. If you’re suffering from a workplace related repetitive strain injury you may be entitled to compensation.

Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis Compensation Claims: Farmer’s lung and other types of hypersensitivity pneumonitis are serious respiratory illnesses that can be debilitating for sufferers.

Hypersensitivity pneumonitis is caused by inhaling certain dangerous substances and can affect a wide range of professions including farm workers, animal handlers, machinists, and other metal workers.

Bursitis Claims: Bursitis is a painful condition that most commonly affects the knees and elbows.

Osteoarthritis Claims: Osteoarthritis is the most common type of arthritis in the UK. A serious and painful condition, osteoarthritis occurs when there's damage in and around your joints that doesn't fully heal.

Ulnar Neuropathy & Cubital Tunnel Claims: Ulnar neuropathy, also known as cubital tunnel syndrome (CTS), is a long-lasting condition causing numbness and pain in the ring and little fingers. It’s caused by repeated pressure or strain on the elbow and forearm.

Occupational Dermatitis Claims: Occupational dermatitis is caused by coming into contact with an allergen or irritating substance, such as oils, petrol, diesel, soaps, detergents, greases and other chemicals. Even prolonged contact with water can cause problems. If you’ve developed eczema or dermatitis because of work, our solicitors could help you claim occupational dermatitis compensation.

Chemical Poisoning Claims: Exposure to hazardous chemicals and substances can cause serious illness or injury, and can affect workers in a wide range of industries.

Employers have a duty of care to their employees, and should provide anyone working with hazardous chemicals with the proper safety equipment and training. Chemical injury claims can be made when failure to do this has led to chemical poisoning.
